ULTRASOUND - PELVIC, ABDOMINAL, 3D, DOPPLER
Ultrasound is a diagnostic procedure that uses high-frequency sound waves beyond human hearing capability to produce high-quality images of soft tissues and motion within the body.
Ultrasound involves no x-ray and can provide medical information that, in the past, may have required surgery.
X-RAYS
Imaging and Ultrasound Inc. offers many diagnostic examinations. These exams are performed in an X-ray room and may consist of images of the chest, abdomen, skull, spine or extremities.
At the time of the exam you will be asked to sit or lie on an X-ray table, and a technologist will position an X-ray machine over the part that is affected. You will be required to be still for several moments during the X-ray exposure.
FLUOROSCOPY
Fluoroscopy is an imaging technique commonly used by Radiologists and physicians to obtain real-time moving images of the internal structures of a patient through the use of a fluoroscope.
In its simplest form, a fluoroscope consists of an X-ray source and fluorescent screen between which a patient is placed. However, modern fluoroscopes couple the screen to an X-ray image intensifier and video camera allowing the images to be recorded and played on a monitor.
